Had crab omelette. Very good. Had biscuits and gravy. Biscuits a little dense. Gravy pretty good.
My experience was far from satisfactory at this place. This place claims to be ‘fine dining’. Although I wasn’t expecting a fine dining quality of service, I was certainly expecting average. I had to ask for everything basic like water, buffer, cream for coffee. I replaced omelette with poached egg on the menu and found they gave me 2 eggs instead of 3 on the menu. When I asked, the answer was ridiculous like omelette and poached eggs are very different. No apologies. I asked to lower the curtain a little because the sun shines right into my eyes. The lady said she couldn’t do it. Also she forgot to put my English muffin on the plate before she brought to me. I had to ask for it too. Completely unacceptable especially considering the price range.
Omelette were excellent. Open early. Service was great.
Small place, so better suited for couples or solo diners. Very clean, and cozy decor. Small menu, but great quality breakfast served quickly.
Ms. Gene stayed open to feed my hungry little girls. Great food, setting, and people. I would definitely eat here again.
My wife and I stop by to get breakfast the waitress was very friendly and nice. She recommended both the Dungeness crab omelette and the fisherman scramble both of which were delicious. Will be returning later in the season.
Good food, nice place. There is more than one room, so ask before you leave, thinking they don't have room for you.
Woderful breakfast place, though the menu is small. I like that they open at 6:30 AM so your not having to wait till 8 or 9 AM to feed ones hunger. The atmosphere is classic wood and leather quite the refinement for Seward. Its like stepping back in time a bit, to a more elegant time. The staff are very friendly and professional, something a few other places in town lack. I believe being located on the end of town, one street over from mainstreet, may cause this place to remain one of Sewards hidden and tucked away gems. I completely recommend dining at Ms. Gene's Place if you are looking for an upscaled place to relax and order and quality meal that is not outrageous in price. Do not miss out on experiencing this place for yourself if you are in Seward. It is also attached to the Hotel Seward so you can stay longer if you desire. Cheers!
Loved the food and cozy atmosphere! Great service, too!
Delicious food! The greens salad was very good, it had greens, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, cauliflower and a tasty dressing. The halibut was amazing and with a really tasty side. And for dessert - the lemon tart was fabulous (but tiny). The service was prompt and cordial. The only thing I wish the portions were bigger!
One of the most delicious Eggs Benedict I've ever had. Worth it!
Lovely place! We came here for breakfast although small, we loved it! Our server was a sweetheart and gave us some tips for our trip! We had a great conversation all around and the food was awesome! We slacked on getting adjusted to the time and daylight at 10PM so we lost track of time and were unable to try the halibut cheeks for dinner but I have no doubt that they would have been amazing! Great place to look around once your done eating!
Amazing food, good service I just love it
